Personal style bloggers sometimes have a bad reputation: caricatured as pretty and unreasonable girls who dress up for their boyfriends who manage cameras and post their results on a WordPress blog. A year back, these independent publishers have developed a real force in the fashion industry, not only occupying front row seats in fashion shows but securing large campaigns and collaborations with brands, becoming regular guests in Television programs as of “Today”and “America’s Next Top Model” and turning their blogs into billionaire businesses. We take more international bloggers into consideration, since the Internet is global and everything. And we reduce it to blogs that cover women’s clothing more regularly than men’s clothing.
To determine the classification, we consider Followers of Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and Pinterest, as well as website traffic.
We speak with industry experts about who the advertisers they love are at the moment, and who moves most of the products through affiliate links.
